the Oscar Nominations for 2010 best picture are out
The Blind Side
The Hurt Locker
A Serious Man
Up in the Air
The movies that surely would have resided in the top five —
the Iraq bomb-squad thriller The Hurt Locker,
the comedy-drama Up in the Air,
Quentin Tarantino’s revisionist World War II movie Inglorious Basterds
and the indie inspirational Precious: Based on the Novel “Push” by Sapphire — stayed secure in their slots.
between James Cameron’s Avatar and Kathryn Biglow’s The Hurt Locker, with nine nominations each. (Inglourious Basterds got eight.) whereas both are movies based on armies the only difference lies that in The Hurt Locker the soldiers are the heroes, and in Avatar they’re mostly the villains. while Hurt Locker deals with gritty realism, the other is a soaring fantasy. Avatar, is a highest-grossing movie of all time; The Hurt Locker would become the lowest-grossing film to win a Best Picture award. In addition to that category and Best Director, the two films will be fighting it out for Cinematography, Film Editing, Music (Original Score), Sound Editing and Sound Mixing.
But if you ask me i would want “Up” to win, it was the cutest thing i evaa :)
also inglorious bastards is one movie am betting on,
let’s wait and watch ( on March 7th)
